First, I am a scuba diver and have experience with wetsuits.
An upcoming trip to Hawaii caused the need for light protection for two teen girls, and prompted me to surf the web as well as travel to local shops for fittings for a shorty wetsuit. The girls want to snorkel and surf and we didnt want the cool water temperature to prevent a good, long go of it....plus, we rented suits last year on a coastal island and they were ill fitting so they still got cold fast, they smelled disgusting (use your imagination as to why)...and were very expensive in peak season ($20 for two hours).
Our local dive shops had only "off" brands, and the fit was terrible and the products overly bulky for the light weight(3mm, 2mm)that we needed. Also, the cuffs of the legs and arms did not appear to be appropriate for a good seal and pinched. The girls are both gymnasts and have unusually large shoulders, bicepts and thighs..so we knew getting a good fit was going to be tough, but we DID find out that our size 2 girls fit into a size 7/8 wetsuit the best.
After once again researching online, I found out that Ripcurl had the stretchiest of suits and I took a chance and ordered only one suit online. PERFECT FIT, super stretchy and not at all "bulky". This suit fits both of these curvy, muscle bound shapes just like a second skin (even though their shapes/heights are not equal, but the suit size was the same..size 8 and fit both of them fabulously). The seals on the arms and legs are less like a thin rubber band and offer 1/2 inch rubber gripper without pinching or cutting off circulation. Their movements for any of the activities they participate in will be unrestricted..plus, the suit's style is very becoming with the perfect amount of color,size, and location of the stripe (so the girls dont feel like they look big). I had a neighbor girl with a totally different body shape try it on and it fit her equally as well! This is a seriously stretchy suit perfect for water activities...

I cannot comment on durability, but I figure if we end up tearing these suits up during our two weeks in Hawaii..I have still saved money and am confident they will keep all of us warm.

This is a well made suit! Ordered the Rip Curl suit and another name brand suit to compare the two. This suit was far better quality, fit better and allowed plenty of freedom of movement. Far superior to the other suit.
